2 sources state Sunderland keen on signing – Player rejects Bournemouth despite fee agreement

According to a report published last month by Foot Mercato, Sunderland and AFC Bournemouth are in the lead to sign Loïc Badé from Sevilla this summer.
The same publication has released a new report detailing Bournemouth’s progress in their attempt to sign the center-back.

After reaching a €30 million deal with the La Liga team, Bournemouth must agree to terms with Badé.

Mercato Foot adds Sunderland is also interested and has made the 25-year-old their top defensive target. The competition from Bayer Leverkusen will make the Premier League newcomers cautious.

This report was covered by journalist Sébastien Denis, who added that the defender had turned down Bournemouth on X, formerly known as Twitter. The Black Cats “still want to sign him” this summer, he continues.

The most recent information about Andoni Iraola’s team and Sunderland’s interest in the France international is also covered by Le Parisien.

They claim that Badé has turned down Bournemouth even though they have reached a €30 million deal with Sevilla. He is deliberating his future and prefers a new endeavor.

While Régis Le Bris’ team is showing “strong interest,” Bayer Leverkusen is also interested in signing Badé.

Notably, following a turbulent loan to Nottingham Forest, Loïc Badé has talked about his struggles in English football and turned down a move to Aston Villa in January. After his challenging experience, the defender has indicated that he would rather play in other leagues than the Premier League when discussing his future.
