£50m striker is aware of Leeds’ interest and he’s keen on move to Elland Road

TBR Football can report that Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz is keen to joining Leeds United this summer.

Leeds are now looking for a new Premier League striker, and Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz has been near the top of the club’s list.

Following Leeds’ pre-season friendly against Manchester United, Daniel Farke said that Patrick Bamford was free to leave the club.

Lukas Nmecha looked promise in the 0-0 tie with Ruben Amorim’s team, and Joel Piroe shown that he remains a viable option in the Premier League.

However, Leeds know the need for a fresh goalscorer, and Muniz has demonstrated his ability to score in the top level at Craven Cottage over the last 18 months or so.

Rodrigo Muniz is comfortable at Fulham but may be tempted by Leeds

Having said that, TBR Football main correspondent Graeme Bailey believes Muniz might be interested in moving to Elland Road this summer.

Fulham, for their part, have stated that they are not looking to sell and are in talks with the Brazilian striker about a new contract.

Fulham are hopeful that they will reach a deal with Muniz’s camp in the near future, as the striker has scored 26 goals in 97 games in west London.

Fulham don’t need to sell Muniz either, since he has an option in his current contract that may extend his term until 2027.

The 24-year-old has improved dramatically over the last two seasons, which is why Leeds are interested in signing him.

In terms of Muniz’s stance, he is pretty upfront about his future – he wants to continue at Fulham, but that is contingent on a new contract.

Muniz is also aware of Leeds’ interest, and a transfer might entice the former Flamengo player, who scored eight Premier League goals last season.

Leeds want to add a striker before they sell Mateo Joseph

Leeds have a full striker department, including Mateo Joseph and youthful Harry Gray, who are both eager for opportunities.

TBR Football recently reported that Joseph is set to leave Leeds this summer, and that remains the case.

However, Leeds do not need to sell Joseph in order to sign a new striker; Farke’s team prefers to have a new number nine in place before selling the Spaniard.

If Joseph sold for the right price, he would produce a substantial amount of PSR headroom. However, Leeds are unwilling to leave themselves short at the top, even if they want to pursue Muniz further.

However, according to some rumors, Fulham could want for up to £50 million for Muniz this summer, which is a very high price for a young striker.
