FC Twente has announced that midfielder Michal Sadilek has left the club to join Czech club Slavia Prague. The 26-year-old’s contract was set to expire next summer, and because the club is not scheduled to play European football next season, he has returned to his home country to play for a Champions League team. The Eredivisie club has not disclosed the amount received for the Czech international midfielder.

Sadilek joined the club from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2021, initially on loan before making the move permanent the following season. He had progressed through the PSV academy and made 40 appearances for the club, scoring twice. During the 2020/2021 season, he was on loan with Slovan Liberec of the Czech league. During his four seasons with Twente, he played 122 games and scored seven goals.
