After the most recent development, Burnley may provide Leeds United £10 million in England; Newcastle will be crucial.

Leeds United have some serious worries going into the summer transfer window. With 95 goals and 100 points this season, the team won the championship.

Improving a club like that would seem impossible, but previous Premier League seasons have demonstrated how challenging it can be. In back-to-back seasons, all three of the recently promoted teams have returned to the Championship. Despite struggling to reach 30 points in the first flight, Ipswich Town and Leicester City were promoted with 80+ points last year.

As the Leeds team prepares for the next season, there are two main issues. The Whites are discussing new contracts with Sam Byram and Junior Firpo in an effort to improve the depth at fullback. Leeds is awaiting a response to its new deal with Firpo.

The Daily Mail claims that Leeds may make a surprise offer for Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope. If the Magpies are successful in acquiring Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, a deal may be made feasible. Eddie Howe’s team may have to spend £30 million to get the England player.

Leeds has a very good chance of acquiring Nick Pope if the 22-year-old decides to transfer to Newcastle.

Pope is an instant improvement over Meslier. Nick Pope is just a better all-around goalie than Illan Meslier. The England keeper is also more adept at dominating set pieces and sweeping in behind the defense, two skills Meslier found difficult.
