Brighton are keeping an eye on Sheffield United’s Ollie Arblaster as they look to add to their team with outstanding young players.
The 21-year-old is highly regarded at Bramall Lane, and Chris Wilder selected him captain last summer.
Arblaster soon established himself as a major player for the Blades, but his season was cut short when he had a devastating knee injury in November.

So the academy graduate has been watching on since then, unable to play a role in Sheffield United’s bitter play-off final defeat to Sunderland, which ruined their Premier League dream.
Arblaster will be striving to return to the club by the start of the new season, however his position remains uncertain.

That comes as TEAMTalk stated that Brighton are interested in Arblaster, having tracked him prior to his injury during the January transfer window.
While Wilder is anxious to keep the star at the club, the report claims a bid of around £20 million could convince the Blades to cash in.
Sheffield United must do everything it can to keep Ollie Arblaster.
It was always going to be a difficult summer for the Yorkshire club after missing out on promotion, and there’s a good probability they’ll have to sell some key players to balance their books.
Anel Ahmedhodzic, Vini Souza, and Gus Hamer will be the focus of intense curiosity, as will other players of Wilder’s side.
However, Sheffield United would undoubtedly want to keep Arblaster, and while Brighton is a fantastic club with youthful talent, one could argue that he would be better served staying at Bramall Lane.
This season has been extremely frustrating for the guy with the knee injury, and he will feel like he has unfinished work at a club that is very important to his heart.
Under Wilder, Arblaster believes he will get regular game time and will be a major player in what might be a new-look club vying for promotion next season.
Furthermore, he will try to recover the form he demonstrated previous to the setback. As we all know, money talks, so a transfer cannot be ruled out, but it would be surprising if Arblaster left, yet if they do not improve in the next 12 months, it might be a completely different situation.
