In May, Molineux News revealed that Wolves were interested in Sunderland’s Trai Hume. Since then, more connections have been made.
Wolves have a firm interest in Hume, as Sky Sports News reported on Monday, while teams like Everton and La Liga are vying for his services.
The 23-year-old had an incredible season playing for the Black Cats in the Championship, who defeated Sheffield United in the play-off final to earn promotion to the Premier League.
Despite his impressive nine goal involvements in 48 games last season, Hume’s most notable skill was his ability to cross the ball.
The Northern Ireland player was in the top 7% of Championship full-backs in terms of progressive passes, the top 7% for passes into the final third, and, most importantly, the top 13% for crosses into the penalty box, according to FBref.
Strand Larsen, a forward in 2024–2025, was frequently denied service into the box, but Hume has demonstrated that he is capable of making some wicked deliveries, indicating that he would be a wonderful fit for the Norwegian.
