Daizen Maeda mentions ‘next season’ amid Celtic leave speculation.

Daizen Maeda has spoken about what he hopes to achieve next season, whether at Celtic or elsewhere.

Fenerbahce has been linked with Maeda and is apparently willing to pay the Hoops more than €10 million for the Japanese speedster.

Speaking as a guest of honour at his former club Mito HollyHock, Maeda stated, “I was in great form this season, both personally and as a team.” So I’d like to continue it next season.

“My team, Celtic, has helped shape who I am. I’d like to thank my teammates and, most importantly, my family for their support thus far.

“I’d be thrilled to score more goals next season. I hope the quantity of objectives continues to grow.”

PAOK makes a ‘offer’ to sign Greg Taylor.

Celtic left-back Greg Taylor has reportedly been offered a two-year contract to join Greek club PAOK. Taylor’s contract at Parkhead expires at the end of the month, and he is unlikely to sign a new term.

PAOK has selected Taylor as their major defensive transfer target this summer, and he is claimed to have been given a higher pay than he presently receives at Celtic.

Kieran Tierney’s Final Arsenal

Interview Kieran Tierney has delivered his farewell interview as an Arsenal player, with the North London club confirming his departure.

Tierney will return to Celtic on July 1, as he told Arsenal’s club media: “Just thank you for everything from the beginning. They supported us through both good and terrible times, and they also helped me through some difficult moments.

“I think that’s what I’m most grateful for; when things weren’t going so well for me, they probably supported me the most, so I’m just glad and feel very happy to have their support.

“I feel extremely fortunate to have played for this club, and the support from the fans has been incredible. I’ve loved every day here, and I’ve learnt so much, developed so much, and I feel quite fortunate.”
