The 37-year-old will be available on a free transfer, as he is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur when his contract expires at the end of June.
Forster has garnered the interest of Newcastle United, and it seems that a return to Tyneside could be imminent for the England international.
‘Looks like’ Newcastle United will be signing Fraser Forster. Geordie Boot Boys have had a conversation with TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey, who mentioned that Forster is among three goalkeepers being considered by Newcastle United.
The former Celtic star is, however, the one most likely to come to St James’ Park before the 2024/25 season.
“From what I’ve been told, it seems Fraser Forster is coming in,” he said.
“They were considering three goalkeepers: Forster, Tim Krul, and Jak Alnwick.”

Forster would serve as a direct substitute and would be considered a club-trained player for the Champions League squad. This is a significant advantage before Eddie Howe’s team makes its return to Europe.
Forster would have the opportunity to fulfill one of his dreams by returning to St James’ Park. In 2023, Forster expressed his desperation to play for Newcastle United at St James’ Park, having not had the chance during his first stint with the club.
