Premier League club set to go at Celtic with £60m windfall to sign “breathtaking” star

According to a source, Celtic are assessing their options ahead of another hectic transfer window and may suddenly be interested in one of their star Premier League players.

Celtic intends to pursue reinforcements in the wide areas.

Everyone is aware that Celtic are looking to sign a striker this summer, and numerous names have emerged on their radar, including Telstar forward Youssef El Kachati.

However, given that Jota is a long-term injury casualty at Parkhead, their search for a winger over the upcoming months is maybe equally significant.

With the legendary Portuguese winger expected to remain sidelined for at least another six months, Brendan Rodgers has plenty of time to add a few more players to his roster.

Sondre Orjasaeter, a Sarpsborg star, was a January target for Celtic, and there’s a good chance the defending Scottish champions will make another attempt to sign the Norwegian during the transfer season, though he won’t be the only player on their shortlist.

Michel-Ange Balikwisha of Royal Antwerp has also been linked to a move to Glasgow and may be available because his current employers want to make significant cost reductions in the summer.

Given his incredible 33-goal season for the Bhoys, Rodgers would be prudent to cover for the Japanese attacker, Daizen Maeda, who had to play both out wide and as a center-forward during the second part of the season.

However, Celtic also understands that everyone has a price, which, if recent events are to be believed, might soon be tested.

The front-runners to sign Nicolas Kuhn are Brentford.

According to TEAMtalk, Brentford are currently the frontrunners to recruit Nicolas Kuhn from Celtic as they look for prospective replacements in light of moves that could lead Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United, while Arsenal are also interested.

According to the site, a deal of approximately £20 million would be tough to turn down for the Bhoys, who have a history of selling players for a profit.

Mbeumo might join Manchester United if the Red Devils spend more than £60 million, and Brentford, along with Brighton & Hove Albion and three other unnamed English Premier League clubs, have expressed interest in the former Germany Under-20 international.

Kuhn, who created 52 opportunities in the Scottish Premiership, was a thorn in opponent defenders and has previously been described as “breathtaking” by Marvin Bartley for his excellent attacking performances.

Celtic will not want to lose one of their prized assets. However, they normally make a signature sale around this time of year, so it is not out of the question.
