The chaplain of Carlisle United is the pastor of a communal church in Carlisle.
In addition to leading the city’s Elim Community Church, Pastor David Allen has assumed this new position at Carlisle United. Pastor David, who is originally from Northern Ireland, served in Southport before coming to Carlisle and working in Cambodia.

Pastor David stated in an interview with Carlisle United that he has a “passion” for the team and is a “huge” football enthusiast. Pastor David stated, “We have been in charge of the church for eighteen months, and we adore Carlisle and everything about this city.”
I’ve also always been a huge football fan, and I started kicking a ball as soon as I could walk. As I went around the city after attending a match when I first arrived, I thought, “Wow, this is a place I need to be a part of.” “I want to have the chance to be a part of this and do everything in my power to help this club become even better than it is now.”

Some of the players have already started working with Pastor David, and he has now formally assumed the job of chaplain. He intends to attend home games at Brunton Park so that anyone can talk to him. He stated, “I’ll be in the fan zone, and hopefully people will start to recognize me so they can come and talk to me.”
“I genuinely want to be a member of the club who assists anyone in need of guidance.
We all have hardships, and if someone wakes up and discovers that something unexpected is happening in their life and that it is extremely difficult, I have a great deal of experience as a church pastor helping people get through those experiences.
“First and foremost, I’m here to help people, and I’ll be available and available if anyone needs to talk to me.”
