The bid from BorusSIA Dortmund for Jobe Bellingham is officially rejected by Sunderland.

According to Sky Germany, the recently promoted Premier League team has formally rejected a BVB approach of no more than €25 million.

In an effort to complete the transfer as soon as possible, Sky reports that the Bundesliga team is rapidly putting together a new bid.

According to the German broadcaster, a base transfer fee of €25 million plus bonuses of about €5 million should be enough to close the deal. Bellingham is still something Dortmund wants to get before the upcoming Club World Cup.

It is said that the player himself wants to take part in the competition.

Dortmund has to resolve the issue quickly in order to transport Bellingham away from England U21 head coach Lee Carsley’s camp, as Bellingham is one of the England U21 nominees scheduled to compete in the UEFA U21 European Championship in Slovakia.

In just five days, Carsley’s reigning European U21 champions will play their first tournament group stage match.
