Wales international Thomas transfers from Huddersfield to Stoke

Sorba Thomas, a Welsh international player, has finalized his transfer from Huddersfield Town to Stoke City, where he has signed a three-year deal.

Starting out in the West Ham United academy, the 26-year-old eventually moved to Boreham Wood. He transferred to Huddersfield Town after spending four seasons with the National League side.

During his four-and-a-half-year tenure with the Terriers, Thomas made over 100 appearances, even though he had loan spells at Blackburn Rovers and Nantes.

He continues to be a regular member of the Wales national team, participating in their 3–0 victory against Liechtenstein on Saturday.

Sorba is a player we have admired for some time, and someone whose services are highly sought after, so we are thrilled to welcome him as our first summer signing,” said Sporting Director Jon Walters to Stoke City’s club media.

“Finalizing the deal early in the window is a genuine advantage. This indicates that he is in the building, can quickly settle in, and will start the pre-season with us from day one.

He has a good physical profile, puts in a lot of effort when not in possession, and technically he is quite good, especially when it comes to his delivery into the box, which is one of his best qualities.

We are well aware of what he will contribute both on and off the pitch since James Rowberry has worked closely with him in the Wales setup.

“At 26, with Championship and international experience under his belt, we think Stoke City has more in store for him.”
