Castore will supply Middlesbrough’s kits from next season
Middlesbrough have announced Castore as their new kit supplier, with the first Boro uniforms scheduled for the 2025-26 season.
The British sportswear maker has inked a multi-year contract with Boro, which means that in addition to the upcoming season’s uniforms, Castore will be entrusted with designing Boro’s kits for the 150th anniversary celebrations next year. Boro’s association with Errea came to an end after three years of reuniting with the Italian manufacturer.
Castore entered the football market in 2020 and will continue to design Boro uniforms and training wear in the future. They own the rights to the Umbro brand, but Boro’s uniforms will have the Castore emblem. The Liverpool-based corporation also has major partnerships with several other football clubs, as well as England cricket and rugby.
In addition to Boro, they will design kits for West Ham, Burnley, Everton, Charlton, and Preston North End next season, as well as top European clubs like Sevilla, Feyenoord, and Athletic Bilbao. They also create the uniforms for Ireland’s national team.
Danny Downs, Castore’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated, “We are tremendously thrilled to collaborate with Middlesbrough FC, a club with a strong past, a dedicated following, and an exciting future. Castore shares Boro’s values of hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication, and we are excited to create high-performance kits and products that players, staff, and fans will be proud to wear.
An MFC spokeswoman stated, “We are pleased to announce a new collaboration with Castore as our official technical kit supplier. We’re excited to reveal the first Castore-designed Boro kits for 2025/26, and there are even more exciting plans in the works as we approach our milestone 150th anniversary season.
“Our collaboration with Castore will give our new kits a fresh look, as well as an expanded assortment of other high-quality products. Castore’s commitment to innovation is completely consistent with our own. Fans can expect high-quality graphics that capture the spirit and legacy of the club.”
