Mbeumo ‘priority’ between Man Utd and Tottenham revealed as Frank agrees terms

At a time when his manager at Brentford, Thomas Frank, has reached an agreement with Spurs, Fabrizio Romano has disclosed who of Manchester United and Tottenham Bryan Mbeumo is giving “priority” to signing with.

Mbeumo is anticipated to depart Brentford this summer, and Manchester United was initially the clear favorite to sign him.

Notwithstanding the Red Devils’ absence of Champions League football, the 25-year-old left-footer made it clear that he intended to sign with them. Newcastle, Tottenham, and Arsenal were among the teams Mbeumo initially disregarded.

Man Utd is willing to pay Mbeumo between £150,000 and £200,000 every week. So far, they have submitted two offers, the second of which is valued at £50 million plus £10 million in add-ons.

Although the Bees are considering Matheus Cunha’s £62.5 million move to Manchester United as a more practical benchmark, Brentford’s ideal valuation is £70 million. Therefore, United’s second bid, which was worth £60 million in total, was only £2.5 million less than what Brentford would be willing to pay.
