Disciplinary: The latest match review panel charges following Challenge Cup final at Wembley

The latest match review panel sanctions have been issued following the Challenge Cup final at Wembley, with three Hull KR players receiving charges.

Former Wigan Warriors winger Joe Burgess, who helped Hull KR break their 40-year trophy wait with an 8-6 victory over Warrington Wolves on Saturday, has got his first penalty points of the season. The 30-year-old was charged with Grade B head contact and given three penalty points and a fine.
Rovers forward James Batchelor has also earned his first penalty points of the season. He was charged with Grade C head contact and received five penalty points and a fine as a result. He is now only one point away from a suspension, with six penalty points required for a one-match ban.

Meanwhile, Hull KR prop Sauaso Sue will face a tribunal over a Grade E spitting charge. Warrington winger Josh Thewlis reported the incident against the former Samoan international at Wembley. Grade E violations are immediately referred to an operational rules tribunal and incur a minimum six-match penalty if found guilty. The penalty points will be decided by the tribunal.

There are no fees for any Warrington players. In Round 14 of the Super League, Sam Burgess’ side will face the Leeds Rhinos at AMT Headingley on Saturday. Hull KR, the cup winners, will return to the Super League this week, meeting Catalans Dragons on Friday night at Sewell Group Craven Park.
