Sunderland and Burnley are reportedly interested in signing Àlex Moreno from Aston Villa this summer.
That is according to Fichajes, who also mentions Sunderland and Burnley as potential La Liga suitors for the Aston Villa midfielder.
The 32-year-old has spent the season on loan at Nottingham Forest and will return to Aston Villa, where he is unlikely to have a future.
On Monday, we discussed allegations from Spain that Real Betis had selected him as one of the choices for improving their defense. He was with the Andalusian club before joining the Villans in January 2023.
According to Fichajes, Real Betis would welcome the Spaniard’s return, but they are not the only team vying for his services. Sunderland, Burnley, and Real Sociedad are also interested in the Aston Villa fullback.
Régis Le Bris’ side and the Clarets have both been promoted to the Premier League and now need to enhance their squads for the following season. Both have highlighted Moreno as the ideal candidate for the left-back position.
His contract at Villa Park runs until 2026, and according to the report, Unai Emery’s team values him at €6 million.
Sunderland and Burnley, who are in a ‘four-way war’ to sign Moreno, should be able to pay it.
