Black Cats Leading Race for 21-Goal Dynamo Kyiv Striker Vanat

Ukrainian sources suggest Sunderland are now favourites to sign Dynamo Kyiv forward Vladyslav Vanat, despite interest from Premier League rivals Leeds United, Fulham, and Everton.

The 23-year-old is fresh off a breakout season, netting 21 goals across all competitions and topping the Ukrainian Premier League scoring charts. Reports indicate Sunderland are weighing a formal offer of approximately £16.8 million.

Outlet Champion claims the Black Cats are currently ahead in the race, although it remains uncertain whether they’ll meet Dynamo’s valuation. Vanat is currently away on international duty with Ukraine’s U21 squad, so any official negotiations are likely to take place after the UEFA U21 European Championship.

Club president Ihor Surkis responded to the mounting speculation: “All this is still just ‘fake news’. The club hasn’t received anything yet. If there are serious offers, we’ll evaluate them. Transfers should happen quietly.”

Lennon Miller

Sunderland ‘Quietly Confident’ in £10m Move for Lennon Miller

According to SportsBoom, Sunderland are optimistic about landing Lennon Miller, the highly rated Motherwell midfielder, amid rival interest from Celtic, Rangers, and clubs across Europe.

The 18-year-old, considered one of Scotland’s brightest prospects, made his full international debut in a 4-0 victory over Liechtenstein and is under contract at Motherwell until 2026.

Earlier this year, Udinese reportedly submitted a £2.5 million bid that was rejected. Sunderland are now preparing a new offer believed to be in the region of £10 million, hoping Premier League football will tip the scales in their favour. Borussia Dortmund are also thought to be monitoring the player.

Sunderland in Contention for Nantes Striker Matthis Abline

Sunderland are also in pursuit of French striker Matthis Abline, currently playing for Ligue 1 side FC Nantes. This is according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that several clubs, including Burnley, Brentford, Marseille, and newly promoted Paris FC, are vying for his signature.

Nantes have reportedly set a €20 million (£17 million) price tag on the 22-year-old forward. While Sunderland’s interest is clear, it remains to be seen whether the club will translate that into a formal bid amid growing competition.
