Exclusive: Leicester City backed to seal “fantastic” Danny Rohl appointment

Hendrie told FLW in an exclusive interview, adding that “Danny Rohl is a very good manager, he could be one that is definitely on the radar on a lot of teams and could definitely take Leicester forward.”

Hendrie believes Danny Rohl should give the Leicester City job serious consideration if the East Midlands team come calling.

“I know he’s been linked with so many jobs but Leicester, obviously being relegated, they’re going to be one of the prime favourites to get promoted and I think if he was the fit for them he’d do a fantastic job.”

Without a doubt, the 36-year-old has performed admirably with the Owls, leading them to a respectable 12th place in his first full season after saving the team from relegation when he first joined.

He was praised for his ability to coach players while playing visually appealing football, and Southampton had previously expressed interest in him because they believed the salary required to pay him was too high.
