Gerard Martin discusses his connections to Wolves, Bournemouth, and West Ham.
The 23-year-old has already won the La Liga and Copa del Rey on his resume, despite just making his Barcelona debut in August of last year.
Of the 42 appearances the Spain Under-21 international made in all competitions, 28 were in La Liga and eight were in the Champions League.
Although Martin’s level of involvement during the previous season was somewhat unexpected, Barcelona is nevertheless determined to maintain him.
Numerous possible suitors have been alerted by Football Espana’s suggestion that the left-back might be available for as little as €12 million (£10.2 million).
The Spaniard has been linked to moves to West Ham, Bournemouth, and Wolves, and Premier League teams are not concerned about the cost.
Despite having a strong first season in the first squad, Martin is not promoting a move, stating that he is only interested in Barcelona.
Regarding the transfer rumors, Martin told Jijantes, “I don’t know, these are things that come out.”
“I am content with my season and am concentrating on Barcelona.” I’m at ease and not worrying about anything else.
Martin played for Spain’s Under-21 team against Slovakia on Wednesday, but he has since returned from international duty due to a fractured hand.
This summer, all three of the Premier League teams that have been connected to Martin need a new left-back.
Wolves must find a replacement for Algerian international Rayan Ait-Nouri, who was sold to Manchester City for £31.8 million.
Milos Kerkez has not yet been sold by Bournemouth, but it is anticipated that he will sign a £45 million contract with Liverpool this summer.
Although he was no longer a consistent starter, Aaron Cresswell left West Ham this summer after 11 years there, and the Hammers are searching for a replacement.
