QPR snap up youngster from Tottenham Hotspur

QPR have acquired goalkeeper Charlie Warren from Tottenham Hotspur, according to their official club website. This summer, QPR swooped to sign the stopper permanently. He will officially join the Championship side on July 1st.

Warren, 18, was on trial with the Hoops in the late parts of last season. He did enough to win a contract and is currently a full-time player with the R’s. They finished 15th in the Championship table previous season under their former manager Marti Cifuentes. He stated on their website: “I’m very happy and can’t wait to get started.

It was great to be part with the boys at the end of last season, especially with the Premier League Cup victory. The atmosphere around the training area and inside the squad was quite upbeat. So that’s what I want to do next season and go from there.”

The child continued, “I like to have the ball at my feet.” I enjoy taking risks with the ball, too, with line-breaking passes and occasionally some talents. I’ll undoubtedly keep people on the edge of their seats, but that’s my job as a goalie.”

The toddler went on, “I like to have the ball at my feet.” I, too, enjoy taking chances with the ball, making line-breaking passes and occasionally displaying some talent. I will surely keep spectators on the edge of their seats, but that is my duty as a goalkeeper.”

Warren has spent his entire career with Tottenham. He rose through the Premier League’s academy divisions, representing them at several junior levels.

The teenager most recently played for their Under-18s team. He has been allowed to leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a new challenge in his career, and he is ready to demonstrate his abilities with the Hoops.

What now for QPR? QPR’s move to sign Warren will give their Under-21s additional competition between the sticks. He is more likely to receive regular minutes with the R’s than if he stayed with Spurs. At the end of April, the Hoops fired Cifuentes and appointed Kevin Betsy as interim coach. They ended the season on a good note, winning 1-0 away to Sunderland.

They have been carefully considering their alternatives in recent months. The club’s administration has taken its time in finding the proper head coach.
