“Be Better NHL”: NHL Fans Respond To A Trending Image Of Travis Kelce Of The Kansas City Chiefs At The Stanley Cup Final With Wayne Gretzky And Taylor Swift
Superstar singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have been one of the world’s most intriguing power couples. When TV crews repeatedly aired Swift during Chiefs games, many NFL fans became irate.
Swift and Kelce both went to Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night. After falling behind 3-0 in the opener, Edmonton overcame Florida 5-4 in overtime to level the series at 2-2. The presence of both of them was not well received by many NHL fans.
Swift and Kelce were seated in a suite during Game 4. But there was a picture of the two with Wayne Gretzky, the former Oilers great.
Be better, NHL. Show more respect for the Great One than to place him with those two.

Gretzky is arguably the best NHL player to have ever participated in the sport. In addition, he covers the 2025 Stanley Cup Finals as an NHL analyst on TNT. It should come as no surprise that some fans were offended by Gretzky’s photo with Swift and Kelce, but their animosity toward the two began when Swift was the subject of NFL coverage.
