Celtic close to signing – Player considered on his way to Brendan Rodgers’ side

According to recent reports from the United Kingdom, Celtic is interested in Benjamin Nygren.

It was even suggested that Brendan Rodgers’ side had gained permission from FC Nordsjaelland to speak with him.

In addition to the Scottish champions, Anderlecht has expressed interest in the 23-year-old. Journalist Sacha Tavolieri used X, formerly known as Twitter, to claim that Anderlecht believe the winger is on his way to Celtic.

The Jupiler Pro League club held conversations with Nygren’s representatives and discovered that he supports Brendan Rodgers’ team.

Tavolieri has stated that he expects to finalize his move to Celtic Park this summer. Expressen backs up Tavolieri’s assertion and reveals more about Celtic’s persistent pursuit of the Sweden international.

They transmit rumors from the British press that the Scottish club is negotiating a transaction of roughly SEK 25 million [€2.3 million].

According to Expressen, Celtic is the ‘favorite’ to secure the attacker’s services, and the parties are ‘near to an agreement’.

The publication makes no mention of the sum that the Danish club will charge. Nygren had 16 goals and four helpers in 32 games for Nordsjaelland this season.
