Ajax keen on move for 18-year-old Stoke City starlet News
Who was the first Championship managerial departure?
Another top prospect
Dixon is only in his second season with Stoke City, but he’s already emerged as one of the club’s most promising young talents. While he himself is not homegrown, he is not a player that the Potters will want to lose anytime soon.
Stoke have several exciting prospects on their books, Emre Tezgel, Sol Sidibe, and Nathan Lowe among them, all of whom have broken into the senior squad. Dixon has done the same, despite still being just 18.

After impressing with the U18s and U21s, Dixon has already made six first-team appearances. Capable of playing across the backline, he’s also featured for England at U17 and U18 level, underlining a reputation that continues to grow.
Rival interest?
This is not the first time interest has been reported in Dixon, who has plenty of suitors. Premier League Arsenal tried to sign Dixon on deadline day in the January window this year.
Arsenal will no doubt still be keeping tabs on the 18-year-old should he be available this summer. As a former Tottenham man though, he may favour a move to Ajax, where first-team football would also be more likely.
Stoke City may struggle to keep Dixon at the club this summer if offers start to come in. You’d think assurances will need to be made over first-team opportunities if he remains at Potter’s player.
