The St. Mirren Football Club is happy to announce that Jayden Richardson has joined, subject to clearance, on a contract that will last until the summer of 2027.
The Englishman, who attended Nottingham Forest’s Youth Academy, has agreed to a two-year contract with Stephen Robinson’s Saints, making him our fourth acquisition of the window.
Jayden went north to join Aberdeen in June 2022 after playing on loan at Exeter City, Forest Green Rovers, and Notts County.
During the 2022–2023 season, the 24-year-old would make 24 appearances for the Dons. After that, Jayden spent 2023–2024 on loan at Colchester United and Stockport County before leaving the Dons after his contract expired.
The right-sided full-back played 37 games for Boreham Wood United of the National League South last season, contributing four assists and two goals.

In an interview with stmirren.com, Jayden stated: “I’m thrilled. “I’m eager to demonstrate my abilities in front of the public. I can provide strength, intensity, and speed, and perhaps my up-and-down athleticism will have the viewers on the edge of their seats.
“The manager and I have had a number of pleasant conversations. I think we have a solid working relationship since I know what he needs from me and what I need to provide him.”

“I tried to sign Jayden a few seasons ago,” manager Stephen Robinson continued. He possesses several qualities that I look for in a full-back or wing-back. Like Ryan [Alebiosu], who was with us last season, he is tall, strong, and quick.
