We hear that, barring an unexpected change of events, both transactions should now be completed by the Hornets, bringing their total number of summer newcomers to five after the acquisitions of midfielder Hector Kyprianou, goalkeeper Nathan Baxter, and left-back Marc Bola. Watford have moved earlier and faster in the transfer market than at any other point during the Pozzo era, with the goal of completing as much business as possible before the players begin working with new head coach Paulo Pezzolano on Monday.

Although the transactions may not be revealed by then, it is worth noting that their current loans do not expire until June 30, allowing them to return to London Colney until the end of the month. Sierralta will not be returning to Watford’s training ground after his move to Auxerre was finalised, with the Hornets receiving a guaranteed €1.5 million.
“After five great years, it’s time to say goodbye,” he stated in a touching video greeting to admirers. “I appreciate all of your love and support, as well as the memories we had together. “I am really proud to be a part of this club’s history. Watford will always be in my heart. “Once a Hornet, Always a Hornet. “Best wishes for next season. Thank you so much for everything. Goodbye.”![Francisco Sierralta has completed his move to Auxerre]()
Getting seven figures for the player could benefit Watford as they look to retain key players from last season. Gino Pozzo, the club’s owner, has declared that he intends to keep Imran Louza, Giorgi Chakvetadze, and Kwadwo Baah at Vicarage Road until he receives an offer too good to refuse. Sierralta joins the Hornets from Udinese in 2020 after beginning his career at Universidad Catolica in his home country. Prior to going to England, the centre back acquired senior experience while on loan at Parma and Empoli. His first season at Vicarage Road saw him play 29 games and score his first goal for the club in a 4-1 victory over Rotherham United.
Sierralta, who led the Hornets gain promotion, was limited to only seven Premier League appearances during the 2021/22 relegation season. The Chilean has appeared in 78 league games and eight cup matches during the last three Championship seasons. He has played 123 times for Watford and scored two goals.
