Club World Cup outfit are now saying chances of Nottingham Forest transfer have hit ‘zero’

Club World Cup outfit are now saying chances of Nottingham Forest transfer have hit ‘zero’.

This summer, Nottingham Forest will want to enhance their team all across the pitch.

With the UEFA Conference League in his sights for next season, Nuno Espirito Santo will want to ensure that he’s well-stocked in all parts of the pitch. Forest have recently been linked with Douglas Luiz, and it’s possible that a new midfielder is being sought behind the scenes at City Ground. The Reds do have Ibrahim Sangare and Ryan Yates, but it appears that another alternative is required to keep those two on their toes next season.

Palmeiras deliver verdict on chances of Forest signing Richard Rios

Richard Rios has been linked with a move to Forest this summer, but there could be complications. Despite the fact that this link has only been floating around for a day or two, conflicting reports have already emerged, the most recent of which is bad news for Forest. According to the most recent ESPN Brasil link, Forest has a ‘zero’ chance of signing the Palmeiras midfielder, since the Brazilian club wants to maintain its top player. Yesterday, Jorge Nicola revealed on his YouTube channel that Forest would need to raise £37 million to sign Rios. Rios has been with Palmeiras since 2023 and has become a vital part of the Brazilian team, making 133 games in total.

Douglas Luiz would be better option than Rios for Forest

The Juventus player has previously played in the Premier League, so the transition would be less difficult than it would be for Rios. It’s commendable that Forest continues to hunt for deals in different markets, but with the money needed to sign the Colombian, the Reds could sign Luiz and make a shift. Forest already have Sangare, who played excellently at the conclusion of last season, so there is no rush to sign an experienced number six. However, if the Reds are determined to sign one, Luiz seems like a better fit for Forest than Rios.
