John Eustace eyeing Blackburn Rovers reunion at Derby County with Liverpool FC transfer raid.

According to rumours on Saturday afternoon, Derby County are interested in signing Liverpool full-back Owen Beck on loan.
That’s according to Football Insider’s top transfer correspondent, Pete O’Rourke, who has revealed that Rams manager John Eustace is eager to reunite with the Welshman.
Beck spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers, and was of course managed by the Derby manager at Ewood Park, before moving to Derbyshire in February. The left-back impressed during his loan stay in Lancashire, appearing 25 times and scoring once against Luton Town in December.
His good tenure at Blackburn may have won him another chance at the Championship next season, as Eustace is apparently anxious to bring Beck to Pride Park for the 2025/26 season.
John Eustace eyeing Owen Beck reunion at Derby County
Following Eustace’s mini miracle in keeping County in the division last season, there is much of optimism surrounding the club ahead of the new season, as they believe they can carry on and improve on last season’s 19th-place finish.
The 45-year-old has already been linked with previous players during the transfer season, with reports circulating that Andi Weimann, Danny Batth, and Dion Sanderson could follow their former manager to Derbyshire.
Beck is the latest name to enter the list of Eustace’s former players who could join him at Pride Park, with Football Insider reporting that the Rams are interested in reuniting the full-back with the ex-Blackburnhead coach.
The 22-year-old returned to Premier League champions Liverpool this summer after a successful loan spell at Ewood Park, and has now been linked with a loan move to Derby for the upcoming season.
Eustace could bring the best out of Beck at Derby
Bringing the former Birmingham City and Blackburn manager to Derby was a significant coup for the club in February, as he has been one of the division’s most dependable managers in recent years.
Before Eustace departed Blackburn, he had the Blue and Whites punching well above their weight, keeping them in contention for the play-offs, which no one predicted before the ball was kicked.

The 45-year-old knows how to build a solid club that can fight with the rest of the division while not having the budget that some of the top contenders do.
With that in mind, hiring Beck might be a very good commercial decision for Eustace and Derby. With a player he already knows well and can get the most out of, it appears that the Rams should strive to negotiate a loan agreement for the Liverpool hotshot.
