Leeds United’s coach is named Huddersfield Town’s new goalkeeping coach.

Before becoming a coach, Elliott, who was born in Newcastle, played for Bradford City, Harrogate Town, Alfreton Town, Spennymoor Town, and Darlington.
During his playing career, he also played for the Swedish teams Bodens BK and IFK Holmsund.
The hiring of Elliott comes after Lee Grant’s backroom staff was expanded to include Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, Paul McShane, and Jonathan Robinson.
Elliott worked with Leeds’ academy and first team from 2017 to 2019. He then spent three years in sport in mentorship roles before returning to Thorp Arch at the end of 2021 and taking over as academy goalkeeping supremo in the summer of 2022.
Grant said: “As we start pre-season together at Canalside this week, it’s extremely nice to have Chris join us and round out our coaching staff.
“Chris is a young coach with forward-thinking ideas and a solid reputation. His work ethic and perspective align with both mine and our coaching unit as a whole.
“I think we have put together an interesting and varied mix of personalities and expertise, and cooperation between ourselves and the larger first-team staff is crucial.
“It’s an important week for us as pre-season begins and I’m looking forward to getting out on the grass with Marc, Paul, Jonathan, Chris and the players, with our first friendly of the summer against Emley now only a few days away.”
