Pezzolano begins work at Watford as pre-season starts.

New Watford manager Paulo Pezzolano has demanded desire and effort from the start, as he began working with the players at London Colney this morning.
The Hornets returned for the start of preseason, which began with an 8 a.m. team meeting when the new head coach laid out his expectations for the club.

“From the start, I want to communicate to the players that we must be ambitious.
They must give their all on the pitch and recognise that we are a team that prioritises teamwork over individual performance.
” Egil Selvik and Mamadou Doumbia have returned despite being on international duty this month. James Abankwah is set to return tomorrow to finalise the details of a season-long loan move from Udinese, while Marc Bola will join his new teammates next Monday.

“For a passionate football fan who has had the opportunity to play and train in many different countries, England is the birthplace of the game, and it is where we want to be.” Watford is a club with a large and well-known fan following, which really motivates me. “I can’t wait to begin.”
Watford have announced that the 42-year-old Uruguayan will be undergoing “intensive” English lessons.
His backroom staff will include Camilo Speranza, Gonzalo Alvarez, Manuel Ramas, and Matías Filippini, pending work permits.Speranza previously worked as an assistant manager for Ecuadorian clubs Guayaquil City and Independiente Juniors before joining Pezzolano at Real Valladolid.
Alvarez was the Spanish side’s fitness coach, having previously worked with the new Hornets head coach at Cruzeiro in Brazil and Mexican club CF Pachuca. Ramas, a tactical analyst, was also on Pezzolano’s staff at both teams, and Filippini worked as a technical assistant at Valladolid.
Alberto Garrido, who left Real Madrid to join Tom Cleverley’s staff in June of last year, is still on the coaching staff at London Colney.

Bola, Hector Kyprianou, and Nathan Baxter are back at Vicarage Road, and “attacking options” are being sought.
“Almost as vital as the latter is understanding the club’s identity, history, and fans. The truth is that they accomplished tremendous things with Graham Taylor in the 1980s and 1990s.
“It’s football history, but the successes in recent years under Mr Pozzo’s ownership have been fantastic as well.
I believe it was six out of seven years in the Premier League, an FA Cup semi-final, and the FA Cup final. “Me and my staff aim to build on this rich recent past and return the club to where the ambitious owner wants it to be. “This is clear.”
