Premier League clubs eyeing Welsh star amid Derby County, Wrexham links.

Owen Beck, a Derby County and Wrexham target, is also interested in playing in the Premier League, The Athletic reports.
Derby County and Wrexham are both preparing for Championship football next season, following quite different 2024/25 seasons. While DCFC avoided relegation on the penultimate day, the Red Dragons earned automatic promotion from League One alongside Birmingham City.
Both have lofty intentions for the future, with the Rams aiming to return to the Championship’s top tier, while the Hollywood-owned North Welsh outfit want to disrupt Premier League regulars.

Derby County and Wrexham have both been keeping an eye on Liverpool left-back Owen Beck as they look to improve their chances of success next season.
However, the Championship combination is not alone, and it appears that they have stiff competition for a contract. The Athletic has now stated that Beck is interested in the Premier League, the Championship, and the Scottish Premiership. At the present, the 22-year-old could sign a loan or a permanent deal following his spell at Blackburn Rovers.
He impressed at Ewood Park before an injury cut short his campaign. Beck has two years left on his Liverpool contract, and a decision has not been made regarding the DCFC and Wrexham target’s future yet.

Who was the first championship manager to leave?
A great fit for Eustace at Derby County
While it remains to be seen what decision is made over Beck’s future, he would be an excellent match for Derby County.
Beck is familiar with boss John Eustace from their time at Blackburn Rovers. Given his penchant to switch between the two setups, he will be well-suited to play as a wing-back or full-back for the DCFC boss.

He has a fair chance of keeping his starting spot, though it will be intriguing to see what his prospective signing means for Callum Elder and Craig Forsyth. Forsyth recently signed a new contract, but Elder’s return to fitness and the addition of a new left-back/wing-back could pave the way for a transfer to a left-sided centre-back position.
Rams and Wrexham with their work cut out?
There are attractive reasons for Beck’s moves to Derby County and Wrexham, but if there is genuine Premier League interest in him, they may have their job cut out. The Rams are more likely to sign him on a temporary basis, with permanent deals for players like Carlton Morris in the works, whilst the Red Dragons may have the financial resources to complete a permanent contract.
They will not, however, be able to match Premier League money, and Beck, who won the Championship with Blackburn, may be interested in a move to the top division. Liverpool will make the initial decision, but Beck will have to consider where he wants to go for the 2025/26 season.
