Blackburn Rovers’ Jake Batty to pen new deal
Blackburn Rovers have a decision to make on what to do next with Batty ahead of next term. Rovers need to weigh up whether to loan him out again.
He has been on their books for his whole career to date. The full-back has risen up through their academy ranks and has been a regular at various different youth levels.

Batty made his first-team debut back in 2022 in a Carabao Cup win over Hartlepool United. He has since played once more for the senior team.
He was given the green light to join Accrington Stanley on a temporary basis in August last year. He got plenty of experience with the fourth tier team.
What now for Blackburn Rovers?
Blackburn Rovers are expected to keep hold of Batty for longer which will be a shrewd bit of business. He provides competition and cover for Rovers’ backline and will be a useful option in the future.
Valerien Ismael has the chance to put more of his own stamp on the squad over the next couple of months. He is gearing up for his first full season at the helm.
The former Barnsley, Watford and West Brom man was picked as their replacement for John Eustace back in February. He initially struggled for results but things started to click for him after a while. His side missed out on the play-offs on the final day.
