According to Sky Sports, Swansea, Queens Park Rangers, and one other unnamed club have all agreed on a compensation fee for the 23-year-old, whose contract at London Road expires this summer. Rangers and Birmingham City have also expressed an interest in the forward this summer.
There was even speculation that he was on his way to a medical at QPR, but it appears he has yet to make a choice on his future.
Poku starred in League One last season, scoring 20 goals in 27 games for Peterborough and playing a key role in their Vertu Trophy final victory over Birmingham City at Wembley.Swansea hero set for release
FC Seoul has revealed that former Swansea City player Ki Sung-Yueng will depart the club this summer. “We have decided to pause our relationship with Ki Sung-yueng, our franchise star and eternal captain,” the club announced in a statement.
“After verifying that he is no longer a part of our club’s ambitions, Ki Sung-yueng requested to be transferred to another club where he may play more and have a meaningful conclusion to his career.
We chose to embrace that.” The K League 1 club will not cut relations with Ki, but will assist the 36-year-old in transitioning to a new career in coaching.
“We both agreed that the team will do its best to support his pursuit of a new career in coaching after his playing days are over,” the club added.
“We will reserve our utmost respect for Ki that he deserves as a legend for FC Seoul and ensure that he will be respected by many others.”
In total, Ki made 162 appearances for the Swans during a four-spell before leaving in 2018. He scored 12 goals during that time.
McBurnie close to decision
In-demand striker Oli McBurnie is likely to make a decision on his future in the coming week or two. According to Hull Live, the Scotland striker has received many contract offers after deciding to leave Las Palmas following their relegation from La Liga this summer. McBurnie is said to have conducted negotiations with Hull City over the summer and shown an interest in going to the MKM Stadium.
The 29-year-old is also claimed to have met virtually with Tigers manager Sergej Jakirovic last week, but there is interest elsewhere. Former club Sheffield United are interested, and Swansea City have also discussed the prospect of a transfer.
