MARTÍ Cifuentes has departed the club with mutual consent after taking gardening leave.

Cifuentes took over as head coach of QPR in October 2023, and he was key in guiding the club to Championship safety in his first season. Under Cifuentes’ leadership, the team remained in the second tier for 2024/25.

CEO Christian Nourry stated that placing Martí on gardening leave at the end of the season was not an easy decision. “As we move forward, I’d want to thank Martí for his great contribution over the past two years.

“He did an excellent job helping us stay in the division when he initially arrived under challenging circumstances, and he worked hard to do so again in 2024/25. “We wish him well for whatever comes next.”
