When Charlton Athletic supporters will find out which Addicks games will be live on Sky Sports.

The Charlton Athletic fixture list for the 2025/26 Championship season has been revealed.

The Addicks will play Watford at The Valley on the first day of the season, before heading to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City in the second fixture.

Nathan Jones and his team will then face Leicester City in their second home game of the season, before concluding August in West London against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

Bristol City (A)
Leicester City (H)
QPR (A)
Millwall (H)
Sheffield United (A)

Charlton will face Millwall at The Valley in September and The Den in January, while Nathan Jones will return to Southampton and Stoke City in November and February, respectively.

Charlton will face Ipswich Town and Hull City in their final two home games of the season, followed by a trip to Swansea City to end their 2025/26 EFL campaign – unless Jones produces an implausible top six finish. It is unquestionably an exciting moment for the supporters as they look forward to playing Championship rivals for the first time since the 2019/20 campaign, but they may want to know when Sky Sports’ TV selections will be published before they pencil in any potential away days for the season ahead.

When will Sky Sports announce their TV selections for the Championship?

Charlton’s opening day game against Watford has already been confirmed for transmission by Sky Sports, with kickoff at 12:30pm on Saturday, August 9th at The Valley.

Sky Sports has also confirmed that they will announce all matches selected for transmission up until the end of September 2025 by the 3rd of July, allowing Addicks fans to safely prepare for the first two months of the season as early as next week.

By July 31st, Sky Sports will have announced all matches selected for broadcast before to the FA Cup’s third round, which will take place in January 2026.

By November 7, 2025, supporters will know which matches have been selected for broadcast between the end of the third round of the FA Cup and the last weekend of February.

Selections for matches scheduled after the first weekend in March will be released on a ‘four-week rolling basis’, which means that fans will know whether their team will be on TV for any given matchup four weeks in advance.

Matches scheduled for the penultimate weekend of the regular season will be announced three weeks in advance, while matches chosen for transmission on the last weekend of the 2025/26 campaign will be confirmed the week before.

Sky Sports are giving fans more notice this season

It is no secret that fans can feel irritated when fixtures are rescheduled for TV transmission, especially when it poses practical challenges with regard to travel and accomodation.

However, Sky Sports have indicated that they are providing supporters up to five months’ notice when it comes to matches picked for broadcast this season. The previous deal provided supporters with only five weeks’ notice, thus Charlton fans should have plenty of time to make plans for the most of the 2025/26 season.
