After his contract with Ipswich Town expired, centre-back Axel Tuanzebe was recruited by Burnley on a free transfer.
During the 2023–24 season, Tuanzebe made 45 appearances for the Tractor Boys in all competitions and helped them get promoted to the Premier League.
The 27-year-old, who made 22 appearances in the Premier League the previous season, has chosen to stay in the league with Burnley, who were just promoted, instead of signing a new contract with Ipswich.
According to reports, the defender from the Democratic Republic of the Congo has agreed to a one-year contract at Turf Moor, making him the Clarets’ third summer acquisition.
