Leeds United are intensifying their summer transfer activity as they prepare for life back in the Premier League. With survival the clear priority, manager Daniel Farke is focused on reinforcing his squad before the new season kicks off.

So far, the club has completed two key signings. Former Manchester City forward Lukas Nmecha has arrived on a free transfer, adding depth in attack, while Slovenian defender Jaka Bijol was secured from Udinese in a £15million deal to bolster the back line.

However, Leeds are far from done. More signings are expected before the September 1 transfer deadline, with potential outgoings also being considered as the squad continues to take shape.

Leeds Eye Bundesliga Left-Back as Firpo’s Future Remains Uncertain

Reports from Germany suggest Leeds United have identified Borussia Monchengladbach’s Lukas Ullrich as a possible left-back addition. According to Bild, the Whites are among several clubs showing interest in the 20-year-old defender.

Wolfsburg are also monitoring Ullrich closely, while Brighton and Tottenham have previously been linked. Ullrich is currently representing Germany in the UEFA Under-21 Championship and is set to feature in the final against England on Saturday.

Although Monchengladbach would prefer to keep Ullrich, the report indicates that a competitive offer from the Premier League could be enough to tempt them into a sale. For Leeds, Ullrich could represent a long-term solution at left-back, particularly amid growing uncertainty around Junior Firpo’s role at the club.

What Ullrich Could Bring to Elland Road

Should Leeds move forward with a deal, Ullrich would arrive with promise and pedigree, having developed in the Bundesliga and gained international experience with Germany’s youth teams. His inclusion as a potential replacement for Firpo suggests Leeds are targeting players with both defensive resilience and long-term value.

As transfer activity continues to unfold, Ullrich remains one to watch as Leeds push to assemble a competitive squad capable of securing Premier League survival.
