Norwich City confirm arrivals of new backroom staff.

Norwich City’s new coaching staff now includes Chris Hogg, James Krause, and Ryan Garry.
Hogg and Krause reunite with head coach Liam Manning as assistant and first-team coaches, respectively, while Garry takes over for Jack Wilshere.
In addition to his on-field duties, Krause is anticipated to play an important role in analysis. The Canaries had been deadlocked in negotiations with the former Bristol City pair after snatching Manning from the Robins earlier this month, preferring to wait until they were available without a compensation cost.
However, a determination to have their personnel in place by the time full team training resumes on Monday has accelerated those talks, with the clubs finding common ground in this week’s breakthrough. This permits the 39-year-old’s long-time collaborators to relocate to Carrow Road and begin work immediately, joining existing backroom members Tony Roberts and Nick Stanley. Both Roberts and Stanley are well-regarded behind the scenes at Colney, with the former in charge of goalkeeping and the latter in charge of set pieces. Garry joins after spending 18 months as deputy head coach with Belgian club SK Lommel, where Manning earned his first senior management position.
The 41-year-old previously worked with Norwich’s sporting director, Ben Knapper, at Arsenal and as England’s under-18 manager. Knapper said of his new signings: “We’re thrilled to welcome Chris, James, and Ryan to Norwich City.” “Chris and James are, of course, well-known to Liam, having been crucial members of his team for several years across several clubs. They are amazing men and excellent operators. James is someone I know well from my days at Arsenal.
They have both fit in smoothly this week and will be critical in assisting Liam and the rest of the staff in building a world-class environment for our players. “Ryan completes our coaching staff and is another very exciting acquisition. His experience speaks for itself, having held major positions at Arsenal, the FA, and the City Football Group. Along with Chris, James, Nick, and Tony, he will assist Liam with all parts of our football plan, with a particular emphasis on our players’ individual development.
“There are many existing relationships and synergies amongst this group, and it’s a really exciting team to be supporting Liam in delivering a truly elite football programme.”
City have been eager to assist their new manager with his own personnel, after predecessor Johannes Hoff Thorup expressed regret over his failure to bring his own contingent from Nordsjaelland.
That was his decision, not Knapper’s, who has taken a proactive approach to his second managerial job. Manning originally met Hogg when they played for City’s fierce rivals Ipswich Town in the early 2000s, and he will join MK Dons as deputy head coach in 2021. The pair then joined Oxford United before leaving for Bristol six months later. Krause had previously worked with Knapper at Arsenal’s analysis department before joining them at the Kassam. He also followed Manning towards the southwest.
