Will Swan, a Crawley striker, joins Bradford City

Will Swan, a striker, was revealed by CITY as their ninth summer acquisition.

Swan signed an initial two-year contract with a one-year option. The Crawley striker is believed to have joined for a minimal five-figure salary with bonuses.

Swan scored nine goals and provided five assists in 35 games for Mansfield, which was promoted to League One in the 2023–2024 season.

In March, he scored in the Stags’ 5-1 victory at Valley Parade. Prior to joining Crawley, the 24-year-old made 78 appearances for the Stags, contributing seven assists and 20 goals.

Swan, who attended Nottingham Forest’s academy, played 37 games for Crawley in the third division last season, scoring seven goals and dishing out three assists.

“As soon as I heard about the interest, I knew this was the place for me, and now that it’s over, I couldn’t be happier,” Swan stated of his excitement to join Bradford City.

“Those are the kinds of environments you want to play in; everyone in football witnessed the scenes on the final day of the season with over 24,000 spectators.”

“I am excited to get started because I have performed at Valley Parade before and you can see how amazing the support is.”

“Adding Will to our attacking options is a real bonus for us,” said Graham Alexander, the city manager.

He can play anywhere on the front line, providing us with another goal-scoring threat and bringing others into play. “There is a lot to work with because he can press however we like.”
