West Brom readying transfer move for prolific QPR forward.

West Bromwich Albion are among the clubs interested in signing in-demand QPR forward Charlie Kelman after a standout 2024/25 season on loan at Leyton Orient.
According to a new report from Darren Witcoop via X, the Baggies are prepared to make a move for Kelman this summer in order to lure him away from Loftus Road.
West Brom are undergoing a rebuild following the appointment of new head coach Ryan Mason, who has already brought in one signing in the form of seasoned central defender Nat Phillips from Liverpool and is looking to complete a number of acquisitions to help the Midlands outfit climb the second-tier table next season.
The Baggies finished ninth in the previous season, following a late downturn in form under former manager Tony Mowbray.
West Brom’s transfer interest in QPR’s Charlie Kelman
According to Witcoop, West Brom are among the clubs interested in signing Kelman, who had a standout season on loan with Leyton Orient in League One, with his goals propelling Richie Wellens’ side to the play-off final.
The Baggies are claimed to be “ready to move” for Kelman, but they will have competition, with Football League World earlier reporting that up to eight Championship clubs are interested in the former United States youth international.
Kelman’s stock is high following a breakout season with the O’s, during which he scored 23 goals in the third tier and 27 in 61 games in all competitions, while also providing six assists. Kelman has not been prolific during his career until returning to Brisbane Road for a second loan spell this summer, and he had only made 26 goalless appearances in nearly five years with the R’s.

QPR’s own stance on Kelman for next season remains unclear following the recent appointment of highly-rated French boss Julien Stephan, who will have a key decision to make in the coming weeks.
QPR’s Charlie Kelman may be an interesting signing for West Brom.
It’s no surprise that West Brom is one of the clubs interested in Kelman’s services.
Still only 23, the striker has plenty of time to build on last season’s breakout campaign, and he is expected to make the transition to Championship football, whether at QPR or elsewhere.
Mason needs to boost the Hawthorns’ striking department, which is currently understaffed, with only Josh Maja and Devante Cole as senior alternatives.
Kelman, on the other hand, would represent a different type of striker at the Albion due to his speed off the mark and propensity to run in behind and stretch defences.
He appears to have reached a watershed moment in his career and could be an exceptionally remarkable signing for the Baggies if a deal can be completed.
