Despite keeping Hull City in the Championship, Selles, 42, was fired by the team last month. In the past, he has managed teams like Southampton and Reading.

Over the next months, the Blades could use some additional firepower in their team. Joe Gelhardt, an attacker for Leeds United, is one player that might be perfect for the South Yorkshire team.
After winning the second tier title, Gelhardt, 23, is facing an uncertain future at Elland Road. It would make sense for him to go during this window as he is unlikely to see much playing time with the Whites in the top tier.
Selles is familiar with him as a player from their time together at Hull City during the previous season. In order to gain some playing time, the forward joined the Tigers on loan in January. He later scored five goals in 20 games to help the team survive.
