Derby County fans are all saying the same thing about their second summer signing, it’s a John Eustace reunion.

Derby County are getting active in the summer transfer window, and after confirming the acquisition of Carlton Morris at the end of June, they have two more new players at Pride Park.
With a £5.1 million move for Patrick Agyemang on the horizon, as reported by ESPN, John Eustace is working swiftly to prepare his club for the Championship in 2025/26. The Rams will face Stoke City away on the first day of the season, and the East Midlands club has named Danny Batth and Andreas Weimann ahead of their first pre-season test against Matlock Town on July 12.
Batth, who previously played for Eustace at Blackburn Rovers, has returned to Pride Park to reunite with his former manager, and Derby fans are overjoyed.
Derby County fans react to Danny Batth announcement
The 34-year-old has signed a one-year contract with the Rams, marking the second summer in a row that Eustace has recruited the veteran defender.

With almost 350 Championship outings under his belt and a Premier League promotion with Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2017/18, there is no denying his experience, and Derby fans have turned to social media to express their delight at his arrival.
Another option: “Welcome, Danny.” A third Rams supporter commented, “Get the promotion Batth running.” A fifth Derby supporter added, “Welcome aboard.” As one Sunderland fan said, “Good signing for you.” He was in class at Sunderland. Derby might make the playoffs under Eustace.”
Danny Batth is a fantastic addition for the Rams
Batth was an important player for Blackburn last season, and his absence will be felt strongly at Ewood Park as they look for a successor.
