Dundee boss Steven Pressley relaxed over search for new backroom team as he provides update.

The Dark Blues still have a few openings to fill.
Steven Pressley is “relaxed” despite still looking for coaching successors. Assistant manager Stuart Taylor, goalkeeping coach Alan Combe, and director of performance Graeme Henderson all left in May alongside manager Tony Docherty.
So yet, the only man to join Pressley has been David Longwell. He, however, has taken on a new role as technical manager.
This leaves the next head coach with some positions to fill. However, he insists that there would be no rush.
Glen Johnson, an experienced coach who has worked at Queen’s Park, Gillingham, and most recently Carlisle United, is stepping in to aid with the goalkeeping problem.
Pressley stated that he is a candidate for the job, but other candidates will be interviewed as well.
He also stated that there has been a lot of interest in the assistant head coach role. “We’ve got a goalkeeping coach in just now who’s with us for two weeks,” Pressley informed the crowd.
“He is involved in the process, but numerous other candidates will be interviewed before a choice is made. “Sports science, we’ve gone through the procedure, and we hope to secure the individual we’ve chosen soon. “And as for another assistant coach, I put it out to interested persons, and we’ve had a lot of response.
“The process has concluded, so we are now beginning the interview process, after which a decision will be made.” “I hope in the next week or so we’ll have a decision on another coach.”
‘I’ve been impressed’
However, Pressley has been impressed with the quality of coaching in Dundee thus far. And he claims it is one of the main reasons he is willing to take his time with these appointments.
When asked if he was okay with the time it took to find the appropriate personnel, he said, “I am. I said this when I received the job; I was at ease about the circumstance. “I have to say, I’ve been impressed with our two coaches.
“I want to give coaches enough room to grow and work, and I’ve been delighted with Scotty Patterson. “He has a really good connection with the players, and I believe he’s a coach with a lot of growth potential.
“So I’m thrilled and relaxed about it. “But I want to bring the right one in that can challenge us and bring his own good ideas.”
