George Evans signs long-term Millwall contract

Millwall Football Club is delighted to announce that George Evans has signed a new, long-term contract at The Den.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper is now set to stay in SE16 for the forseeable future.

Evans, following a period in The Lions’ Under 21s and loan spells at the likes of Sutton United, was thrust into the limelight at the back end of 2024/25, making his Millwall, EFL and Sky Bet Championship debut at Blackburn Rovers on Good Friday.

Three more appearances against Norwich City, Swansea City and Burnley were to follow, with the stopper earning praise for his performances in a pressured situation as a top six place was still up for grabs.

The young goalkeeper will continue to provide competition in the department, with new signing Max Crocombe and Lukas Jensen – currently recovering from a long-term injury – also part of The Lions’ 2025/26 set-up.

Evans will wear the number 41 shirt during the upcoming campaign.
