Burnley and Sheffield United are reportedly among the clubs monitoring the situation of Le Havre centre-back Étienne Youté Kinkoué, who could be available for a summer transfer.
According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, French club Le Havre are open to parting ways with the 23-year-old defender this window as he enters the final year of his contract. The Ligue 1 side are eager to avoid losing the player on a free next year and are therefore looking to cash in while they still can.
Kinkoué’s Rising Profile in Ligue 1
Kinkoué has emerged as a key figure in Le Havre’s backline since joining from Olympiacos in January 2023. Over the past two seasons, he has featured in 50 Ligue 1 matches, playing a vital role in helping the club retain its top-flight status.
Despite his contributions on the pitch, Le Havre appear resigned to the possibility of losing him and are preparing for life without the powerful defender. The club has reportedly set a valuation of around €5 million, hoping to generate a reasonable return on a player who has been a consistent performer since his arrival.

Burnley, Sheffield United and FC Köln Interested
The uncertainty around Kinkoué’s future has sparked interest from several clubs across Europe. Burnley and Sheffield United—two clubs rebuilding for life outside the Premier League—are said to be considering a move. FC Köln from the Bundesliga have also been tracking the Frenchman.
With Kinkoué’s contract winding down and his market value still respectable, competition for his signature is expected to intensify as the summer window progresses. Whether a move to England or Germany materialises, the coming weeks could prove decisive for both the player and his current club.
