Absolutely brilliant’ – QPR new boy hailed by former EFL player after transfer.

Former EFL player Don Goodman has described QPR’s Kwame Poku as a ‘absolutely excellent’ signing for the Hoops.

QPR has signed the attacker from Peterborough United. The R’s are gearing up for another year in the Championship.

Poku, 23, will be aiming to showcase his abilities in the Championship. He has recently gained attention in League One.

According to Football League World, Goodman stated that Kwame Poku is a “absolutely brilliant signing for QPR.” And this could indicate that Queens Park Rangers will be more ambitious in the transfer market. They’ve already persuaded Jimmy Dunne, who many people expected to go, to sign a new deal. So, if you support the Queens Park Rangers, the indicators are encouraging.

“When you bring Karamoko Dembele into the equation, it’s quite exciting. He’ll have the opportunity to get himself in shape and perform better this season; he’s a tricky customer.

They also have Ilias Chair, and Queens Park Rangers might play a very good forward line next season in what promises to be a highly tough Championship.”

QPR has signed Poku to add quality to their squad. He will provide more alternatives at the top of the pitch.

The Ghana international, who has one cap, began his career in non-league, playing for Cray Wanderers and Worthing. Colchester United offered him a Football League lifeline in 2019.

Before joining Peterborough United, he played two years with the U’s in League Two.

The London-born man went on to become an important player for the Posh. Poku made 147 appearances across all competitions during his spell at London Road. He chipped in with 30 goals.

What now for QPR?

QPR have the opportunity to add some new faces over the coming few months. They can also allow players to leave through the escape door if necessary.

Julien Stephan has been named their replacement for Marti Cifuentes, who left in late April. He has previously managed clubs like as Rennes and Strasbourg. The Hoops finished in mid-table last season. They will seek to challenge higher up the league next season, and the signing of Poku should help them.
