Swindon Town have set an asking price of £1.5m for Botan Ameen, with the attacker attracting interest from Norwich City and Sheffield United.
The 18-year-old spent time with QPR’s academy before joining the Robins in 2023, and he has progressed quickly with Swindon over the past few years.
So much so, Ian Holloway included the teenager as part of the first-team setup last season, with Ameen making 14 league appearances, the majority of which were from the bench, and he scored one goal and registered an assist, whilst he also featured in the cup.

Given his age and potential, clubs higher up the EFL have been taking notice of Ameen, with recent reports claiming that the Canaries and the Blades were among the clubs pushing to sign the forward, who has been scouted by Man Utd and Wolves in the past.
However, Swindon are determined not to lose their exciting talent on the cheap, as Iraq-based publication Al Sabaah have claimed that the League Two side want a £1.5m fee to make a deal.
It remains to be seen whether any offers of that level will be forthcoming, with the Wiltshire club having turned down lower offers earlier in the window.
Ameen is currently under contract at the County Ground for another 12 months, so that does complicate matters for Swindon, although they would be entitled to compensation if Ameen did move on next year due to his age.
It has been claimed by Pete O’Rourke though that Ameen has told the Swindon hierarchy that he wants an exit from the club after they turned down bids for his services, so it remains to be seen if anyone will meet their asking price.
