Blackburn Rovers have missed out on one of their reported summer transfer targets after Casper Terho completed a move to OH Leuven from Union Saint-Gilloise. The Belgian club confirmed the winger’s arrival on their official website, announcing that the 20-year-old has penned a long-term contract running until 2028.

 

Terho, who has been attracting interest from across Europe, was linked with a potential switch to Ewood Park earlier this summer. Journalist Lorenzo Lepore revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that Rovers had been keeping close tabs on the Finnish talent, alongside German outfit Hertha Berlin and Eredivisie side Go Ahead Eagles. However, it is OH Leuven who have ultimately secured his signature in what could be a shrewd piece of business for the Jupiler Pro League side.

 

The Finland international had fallen down the pecking order at Union SG but was still widely regarded as a player with significant potential.
