Leeds United will now be forced to make £13M signing after latest development.

This summer’s transfer window has seen Leeds United make strategic moves. So far, they’ve made good signings in several parts of the club.
Over the last two weeks, the club has welcomed three new faces. And all of these transactions proceeded easily because there was a plan and a procedure in place. Lukas Nmecha stated that Daniel Farke played a crucial part in convincing him, while Sebastiaan Bornauw revealed that there was interest in a move as early as January.
Despite doing well so far, the club recently suffered a significant setback. Leeds was very interested in signing Habib Diarra from Strasbourg and had been studying the situation for weeks. However, Sunderland pounced and made the midfielder their record acquisition this week.

Graeme Bailey offered the inside scoop on how the Senegalese international ended up in Sunderland. The fundamental point was that Leeds had a valuation that they did not want to exceed.
“Diarra was and is well-liked by Leeds, but they never came close to matching their demands of £30million,” Bailey pointed out.
The Whites had conversations with the French team, but the asking price was too high. The Black Cats have also signed another Leeds target, Noah Sadiki. Fabrizio Romano announced the transfer on Wednesday. With both of the club’s primary midfield targets lost, the Whites will have to work harder to complete the deal for Anton Stach. According to reports, the details of the move may be finalised soon.
Losing targets raises question
Fans have expressed concern about Diarra and Sadiki’s absence. After refusing to match the price for the Strasbourg midfielder, Leeds’ ambition has been called into doubt. Hopefully, the club adheres to its plan and signs the players it needs this summer. In current transfer window, engaging in bidding wars is not a good approach.
