Bim Pepple signs for Argyle.
Argyle have signed another forward, Bim Pepple, aged 22, from Luton Town for an undisclosed price.
Pepple was born in England, but his family relocated to Canada when he was a child, so Bim grew up in the Calgary Foothills FC development system.
Prior to moving to Europe, he played in the Canadian Premier League for Calgary-based Cavalry FC. After a year with Getafe’s under-19 team, Bim returned to Cavalry for a brief stint.
His goal-scoring exploits – six in seven – drew the attention of Luton Town, who were in the Sky Bet Championship at the time. Bim was on loan at Grimsby Town, Bromley, and Inverness Caledonian Thistle while a Hatters player.
Then, at the start of 2024/25, he moved to Southend United on loan, in the Vanarama National League, and hit serious form.
Pepple’s 11 goals in 23 appearances with Southend earned him a recall by Luton and a transfer to League Two club Chesterfield. With the Spireites, he continued to impress, scoring five goals in 15 starts and six substitutions. Argyle Head Coach Tom Cleverley said: “It’s fantastic to have Bim on board, adding to our striker options.
He had a tremendous season last year, scoring numerous goals and contributing wherever he played. “We are confident he will be an asset for us this, and we look forward to working with him to make him an even better player.”
David Fox, Head of Football Operations, added: “Bim is a player with a similar profile to Owen Oseni, who joined us last week.” He is physically strong, swift, forceful, and has a high work rate.
He is the type of forward that defenders dislike playing against, and we believe we can help him grow further. “He will join our team of front players that already include Owen and Joe Hatch, which we will still look to add strength to, as we ensure we have a group of strikers who will complement each other, bringing different strengths to the table.
“Bim will be wearing the number 27 shirt, and his transfer is subject to EFL approval.
