Talks to sign Norwich City player now go above €15m level – Bonuses will be involved

The Portuguese media has reported that FC Porto is getting closer to signing Norwich City forward Borja Sainz.

After Norwich reportedly turned down a €15 million offer from the Portuguese team, the Spaniard was linked to Porto last month.

Nevertheless, it was stated at the time that Porto was still interested in signing the 24-year-old, and according to Record, a better offer is currently in the works. According to the record, discussions between the two teams have been going on and have now advanced.

According to reports, as the parties try to reach an agreement, Porto is now willing to make a higher offer than their original €15 million offer. Any possible agreement will also involve bonuses, albeit it hasn’t been stated what exactly these will comprise.

Norwich City is under pressure to sell during this transfer window or risk losing Sainz on a free transfer in a year since his contract expires next summer.

Sainz scored 18 goals in 43 games across all competitions for the Canaries last season.
